Unitrans in Mozambique

Unitrans is a key energising force in the forward momentum of the surging sugar industry in countries such as Mozambique, which enjoy favoured export status with the EU and the USA.

At major sugar estates, such as Maragra and Xinavane in the south and Mafambisse in central Mozambique, we supply a broad line-up of logistics and agricultural services.   Depending on the estate, these range from brush clearing and land preparation to ploughing, fertilising, harvesting and cane haulage to the sugar mill.   At Mafambisse, we provide virtually every service that is performed with a diesel engine vehicle.

In addition to our work on sugar producing estates, we are also positioned to efficiently assist in the agricultural development of other sugar industry initiatives such as ethanol production. Our African operations in sugar and forestry also provide a platform from which to provide services in other crop groups.
