UNITRANS MALAWI EMPLOYEE SUCCEEDING ON AFRICAN FAIRWAYS
Having started playing golf as a teenager, Wilson Kaingwe, a Unitrans fuel attendant at Dwangwa sugar estate, played his first major tournament with Unitrans sponsorship in 2004 and now has 7 trophies and other prizes to his name. Wilson has golfed at the national amateur level representing Malawi in the Zone 6 golf tournaments which took place in Zambia and Zimbabwe.
A 28-year old native of the Kanyenda Village in the Dwangwa Nkota-Nkota district, Wilson is married and has a one-year old daughter. He is a 2 handicap and aspires to play the amateur circuit in South Africa. Wilson shares his sporting enthusiasm by encouraging newcomers to the game and teaching golf.
Unitrans Dwangwa Senior Depot Manager Peter Bredin says, “Wilson is a valued member of our Dwangwa team and is known for his pleasant and patient manner. We’re pleased to support him and Unitrans will continue to sponsor him in his golfing pursuits.”
